Assessing Workplace Competence Using Direct and Indirect Methods

Assessment is the process of evaluating an individual’s learning. It involves generating and collecting evidence of a Candidate’s knowledge and skills and judging that evidence against defined standards.

This course is designed to give you an introduction to workplace assessments. We will look at core assessor activities, the assessment team, preparation for assessment, sources of information and legal requirements.

The course will cover planning an assessment, looking at direct assessment methods such as observation, questioning and examination of work products, and indirect assessment methods which may include witness testimony and simulations

Approximate duration: 35 minutes.
