An Introduction to Safety Observation Systems

The ‘Safety Observation System’ is a set of health and safety guidelines and principles.

These guidelines are designed to encourage EVERYBODY in the workplace to look at their attitude and behaviour towards and reduce the risk of deaths & injuries, harm to the environment and equipment damage or loss of production

During this course, you will learn: the functions of a Safety Observation System, how to recognise an unsafe act, and carry out Safety Observations, how and when to intervene in an unsafe act or process, how to recognise the challenges of changing people’s attitudes toward safety and how to identify the nine basic principles of a successful Safety Observation System.

I've seen a lot of eLearning before, this is by far the best. I've spent 3 months in the field learning about all sorts of things including fittings. I then took the fittings module and it all made sense.
